With this new translation, we plan to make one of the classic works of Seerah and Sunnah available to English-speaking Muslims. Zad-ul Ma'ad is one of the important resources of knowledge for those who seek to know the Seerah of their Prophet - salaa Allahu 'alayhi wa salam - as well as the Fiqh learned from it. This is a book that is unique in that it explains the Sunnah through the Seerah and the Seerah through the Sunnah. It is a profound classic work containing thousands of pages written by Imam ibn al-Qayyim - rahimahullah.

Currently, four volumes of the translation have been completed but we plan to translate all of the Arabic volumes - insha'allah. Each of the volumes of this English translation are over 300 pages each and contain the Arabic text of hadeeth and Qur'anic verses. Additionally, there are detailed footnotes and hadeeth authentications when necessary. This translation project is being carried out by Jalal Abualrub, who has translated numerous works for both the Daar of Islaamic Heritage and Dar-us-Salam Publications - including portions (Juz' 1-10, 12, 13, 25-27) of their recently published translation of Tafsir Ibn Kathir.
